Supplies List:
- Serger in good working order. You must be able to thread your serger and adjust thread tension. Threading needs to be changed for some of these techniques.
- Operating manual or threading chart.
- Serger Feet: Bring the following serger feet: Regular or Clear Foot, Ruffling Foot, Elastic Foot and Piping or Cording Foot
- If you do not own or cannot get some of the following feet, there are work arounds for every technique except making piping. For serger piping a piping/cording foot is a must.
- If you own a Babylock serger and would like to try a foot before you buy, contact All Brands at least a week before the class to arrange to borrow one.
- Year 1 class notes, if you have them. If you would like to purchase a set of the notes, they are available for $20. The reprints include the notes from all classes taught in Year 1 not just the techniques covered in this class. Projects are not included. To get a set, contact Joyce Barry at
- Thread – 4 spools serger thread any color
- Fabric: 5/8 yard good quality quilting cotton. Straighten the fabric and cut according to the Cutting Layout below.

       * NOTE: In order to maximize your learning, there is NO time allotted for cutting fabric. Cut your fabric at home or come before class to cut in the classroom.
- Standard sewing supplies (scissors, sewing clips, pins, temporary marking pens etc.)
- Pen and Paper: to make notes.

Cutting Order:
1. Rolled & Wire Edge Strips: 2 strips 2-1/2” x 20”
