Un-Covered Rope Bowls
Join Louise Ware to make a quick, useful and unique fabric bowl with clothesline rope and matching thread or vibrant threads of other colors or even variegated thread. Learn to create them with unique handle options, also! These bowls are useful for sewing notions, clips, pins or just about anything!! And you can make them to match your décor.
SUPPLY LIST:
-
50 - 100 feet of 1/4" to 3/8" diameter cotton clothesline. This is available at All Brands, or hardware store - just make sure it seems soft enough for a needle to pierce.
-
Sewing machine that can do a zig zag, in good working order (and you know how to use it!) loaded with a NEW denim/sharp needle size 16
-
Thread to match or contrast with the rope (You will use a lot of thread to make a big bowl, so wind two bobbins before you get started to avoid later frustration.)
-
One binder clip
-
Cording foot or zipper foot (This is totally optional; if you have one, use it, if you don't; your standard foot will be fine.)
