Cover A Cushion Workshop



Learn to how to cover a cushion so you can make one from scratch or replace one that is worn or doesn't match your home decor!  This class will teach you about finding the right foam, proper measuring, zipper closure and wrapping your foam for the perfect fit.  You will go step by step through the construction of a cover for your piece of foam.  This class requires an intermediate skill level of sewing.

Supplies:

  • Foam to cover - 18x18x2 or 20x20x2 

  • Fabric for cover (something from your stash is fine, at least 1 yd of 54" fabric)

  • Upholstery zipper - 30" or longer 

  • Batting (1yd quilt batting)

  • Ruler, marking pen, scissors, pins, rotary cutter/mat

  • Sewing machine in good working order and knowledge on how to use it, and basic sewing supplies
