Most sewers have bags of strips of fabrics cut from the end of fabric pieces, called selvages. These long strips have text and color charts that are quite interesting and when combined with strips of coordinating fabric can make an even more interesting bag! Supply List:
• Exterior Fabric: A variety of selvages plus 1 1/2” of the fabric wide in lengths which you have available that can be cut to various lengths needed to create bag. You can also insert lengths of 2 1/2” width of interesting stash fabrics if you need the extra yardage needed to make bag. The sample bag was made with over 30 different selvages varying in length from 12” to 36”.
• Lining: 1 1/2 Yard—2 yards if using the same fabric to cover handles
• Interfacing: 1 1/2 yard Medium Weight Fusible
• Handles: 3 yards of Webbing which can be covered with fabric (1/2 yard) • Buttons: 2—1” Decorative
