Quilted Tree Trimming

A quilted 3-D Wall Hanging that can be made with 2 1/2" strips or a fat quarter! It's fast, fun, and very popular! Trim your tree with threads, charms or small ornaments. You can even make it an advent calendar by adding your trimming one day at a time! Finished wall hanging measures approximately 12" x 14".

Materials
Fabric:
Fabric according to the pattern, or ½ yard of fabric for tree, border and binding
1 fat quarter for background
Fabric from your stash for backing or 1 fat quarter
Trunk fabric
Coordinating thread for Background, Tree, Binding, Trunk
Other Items:
- Pattern
- Sewing machine in good working order
- 18 x 24 cutting mat
- Ruler for cutting and marking – 3 ½ x 18” is fine, nothing big
- Rotary cutter with sharp blade
- Erasable marking pen
- Small iron and iron mat if you have one

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the class starting time in order to:
- Set up your machine
- Iron your fabric

This is a one-day class. The goal is to have you leave with you project finished up to attaching the binding.
