Serger Club - October 2023
QUILTING with a serger is fast and easy. Babylock sergers – and many other makes – give you a perfect 1/4" seam. And there is no need to just make jelly roll strip quilts with your serger. We will explore what makes a quilt block for serging. You’ll be surprised at how many there are. Piece a top, quilt as you go, bind a quilt and even quilting with a chain stitch will be covered.
PROJECT: Recommendations for quilt blocks perfect for the serger will be provided. Pick one and make a table runner or lap quilt. Or go big and make a bed size quilt.
This is a lecture/demonstration club. Sergers are not used in this class. Handouts covering the demonstrated material and the project are provided.
