Chubby Charmer Tote Bag Evening Classes



This very popular class taught by Nan Rennie is back!  The Chubby Charmer Bag pattern makes up into a great big bag for carrying everything around, including bathing suits and beach towels.  This bag pattern can also be used as a 9" x 13" casserole carrier! And of course, all your sewing supplies are easily toted to class in this fun bag to make using one 48 piece or 2 24 piece packs of 5" Charms. Join Nan for 2 evening classes!

Items Needed:

Chubby Charmer Pattern (w/15% class discount at All Brands Sewing Center)

Material for front and back of bag (48 5” squares or 2-24piece charm packs - this is a perfect way to use your 5” die on your Accuquilt

1 1/2 yards Material for lining, handles and pockets
    Cut:  - (2) 6 1/2" x WOF for Handles
              (2) 18 x 12 for Pockets
              (2) 18 x 27 for Lining
               
***Choose the Method you wish to do to complete your bag, I prefer the #1 FUSIBLE FOAM METHOD.  Cut your fleece and or foam according to what is listed under the method you choose:


#1 FUSIBLE FOAM METHOD:  (1-Sided Fusible)
      *Foam               (2)   20 x 29............Outside of Bag
      *Fusible Fleece   (2)   6 1/2 x 40......Handles
      *Fusible Fleece   (1)   6 x 18..............Long Pocket
      *Fusible Fleece   (1)   9 x 12..............Square Pocket
      *Fusible Fleece   (2)   18 x 27............Lining

#2 FUSIBLE FLEECE METHOD:  (1-Sided Fusible)
      *Fusible Fleece   (6)   18 x 27..........4 for Outside Bag and 2 for Lining
      *Fusible Fleece   (2)   6 1/2 x 40......Handles
      *Fusible Fleece   (1)   6 x 18............Long Pocket
      *Fusible Fleece   (1)   9 x 12............Square Pocket

The bag can be completed in class if you do the following before Class:
1.  Cut all fabric
2.  Cut all fleece and foam
3.  Sew 5" squares, according to the pattern instructions

Additional items:  sewing machine; bobbins; scissors; rotary cutter; clover clips (great for holding down handles as you sew); pins (if you don’t use clover clips); thread to match or accent your fabric.  Thread and bobbin to match for quilting and top stitching of handles
