Pretty Poppins Bag
Who doesn't need a large bag for toting stuff around or, better yet, travel? The Poppins Bag is a large zipper top bag great for all of your magical stuff! Two deep pockets on the outside and inside make keeping your items organized. Fabric choices for this project are endless!
Materials:
Sewing machine in good working order
Pattern with (2) Stays (VERY IMPORTANT)
14/90 needle
1/4" sewing foot
Walking food
Threads to match all fabrics in your project
(2) bobbins wound for Fabric (A) & (B)
Seam Ripper
Cutting board (18 x 24)
Rotary Cutter (60mm if you have one)
Ruler (8 1/2" x 24") preferred
Scissors
Clips & Quilter's straight pins
Erasable pen (so that you can see markings on your fabric)
Bosal's Craf-Tex Plus pre-cut Large Bottom
- 1 yard Fabric (A) for the outside body, inside pockets and pocket lining
- ***3/8 yard Fabric for Front pockets and lining if you select another coordinating fabric
- 1 yard Fabric (B) for the inside bag body, outside pockets and pocket lining
- ***3/8 yard Fabric for Inside pockets and lining if you select another coordinating fabric
- 1 yard Fabric (C) for Sashing/binding (for sides, bag bottom, zipper binding and handles)
- 1 yard double sided fusible foam - 58" wide
- 30" double slide zipper. I recommend a zipper by Annie.
