Begin to Sew III
Fabric and other supplies can be purchased at All Brands Sewing Center with class discount (15% off).
In this class, you will learn:
• Common pattern sewing terms and what they mean
• How to to select the proper size pattern
• How to lay out a pattern to cut it out
Learn how to understand a sewing pattern by making a simple pair of pajama pants. Very basic fitting (length and circumference adjustments). This class does not focus on fitting.Supplies:
• Sewing machine in good working condition and knowledge on how to use it
• Vinyl tape measure
• Sharp fabric scissors
• pins
• Fabric for adult size: 2 3/4 yd (no stripes or diagonals) - cotton - woven, without stretch
• 1” wide elastic for your size pattern
• Twill tape for ties
• Basic sewing tools - seam ripper, sewing machine needles (80/12), bobbins, seam gauge
• Thread
• Safety pin or bodkin to insert elastic
*Pre-requisite*: Have taken Sew 1 or Sew 2 or know how to operate a sewing machine
