- Garments that you'd like to learn how to hem
- Sewing machine
o Sewing machine needles – size 70/10 (or 80/12) 'universal'; OR Jeans/Denim needle
o The manual for your sewing machine (if you have it)
- Thread color that best matches, 100% Polyester
- Hand sewing needles
- Sewing pins
- Seam gage
- Measuring tape
- Seam ripper
- Scissors - fabric scissors have a bit of a ‘tooth’ which will hold your fabric steady, when cutting
- Tailors chalk
Optional:
- Heat/friction erasable pen – click type is the most convenient
- Thread snips (I use Gypsy brand)
- Rotary cutter (45mm) & cutting mat
- Stiletto – I love this tool!
