Tabula Rasa Cardigan - GARMENT Class!

We will use the cardigan version of the Tabula Rasa pattern from Fit for Art (included with the class!) There are digital add-on patten accessories available at their web site. Different openings, sleeves, cuffs, swing sides, and more!
For selecting multiple fabrics – see pattern for helpful hints!
This cardigan can be subtle or really showcase interesting fabrics and panels.

*Please bring your lunch for a break in the class :)*

SUPPLIES: Available from ALL BRANDS – discounted for class!
NECESSARY:
1. Pattern: Tabula Rasa Jacket for woven fabrics (included with class)

2. Fabric: See pattern for sizes and yardage -
Recommended: linen, cotton or natural fiber blend woven fabric.
Such as - quilting cotton or lighter weight denim (4-6 oz.)
(no jersey or knits, flimsy rayon and no gauze)
When contrasting fabrics – the pattern instructions break down yardage by each panel and accent. Printed
panels work well for the back or fronts of this garment. Generally choose a smaller print or somewhat
darker fabric for under arms, accents, etc.
Bias tape - purchase single fold bias tape OR prepare in class

3. Buttons/Snaps/Frogs for a closure. You can also make ties!
4. Sewing Machine in good working order (threaded, new needle), bobbins, manual
5. Thread 100% Polyester, color of choice
6. Needles - Microtex 80 NEW
7. Basic sewing stuff: rotary cutter, pins (sharp), scissors, seam ripper (new), Frixion heat erasable pen,
seam gage, measuring tape, etc.
OPTIONAL nice to have: Thread snips, Annie’s Stiletto – I love this tool!

BEFORE CLASS:
