Machine Mat & Fabric Weights!

Please bring your lunch for a break in the class :) 

SUPPLIES: Available from ALL BRANDS – discounted for class!
1. Patterns: Free, provided by instructor
2. Fabric:
a. Pattern Weights – fat quarter, ~1 yard ~1/4” ribbon
(grosgrain, wide rick rack)
b. Muffler Mat –
1 yard each of:
face – will show under machine, on table top
back – will show on pocket front
For large machines, you may need >22” W x 42” D
Binding Fabric ~ 1.5” wide x total edges of mat. Or whatever your favorite width is!
1 yd batting (or fusible fleece)
3. 100% Polyester thread, color of choice 
4. 1/4” Steam a Seam
5. Sewing Machine in good working order and knowledge on how to use it (threaded, new Microtex 90 needle), manual.
6. Needles - Microtex 80 or 90 NEW
7. Basic sewing stuff: rotary cutter (45 or 60mm), scissors, seam ripper (new), pins (sharp), clips, Frixion
heat erasable pen, seam gauge, etc.

OPTIONAL nice to have: Thread snips, Annie’s Stiletto – I love this tool!

BEFORE CLASS:
Mat:
- Quilt mat sandwich (30” W x 42” L)
- have 5-6 yards of binding prepared 
- Width of choice, or default of 1.5”

Weights:
- Cut 4 to 5 pieces of fabric 4x8”
- Cut 4 pieces ribbon 4”
