Serger Windsock

A windsock that waves gently in the summer breeze is a great addition to your deck or porch. And Sew Organized Designs (formerly the Fat Quarter Gypsy) has a terrific pattern that includes an innovative pop-up spring that holds your windsock open to
catch the slightest breeze. This pattern, “Windsock Pop-ups” (pattern # FQG135), is available at All Brands.
The Windsock Pop-up pattern has been revised for construction on a serger. We will use the 3-thread narrow or rolled hem to edge the windsock streamers and to add a decorative touch to the windsock cylinder. For a long lasting windsock, we will make it from nylon flag fabric.
For all skill levels. Basic knowledge of your serger, including how to thread it and being able to serge a 3 or 4 thread stitch, is required. Threading and the basics of serger sewing will not be taught in this class.
Bring a lunch and drink.
